
Radio of the World, belonging to the United Nations Organization, reported today that a plane with 21 passengers and crew members crashed in the state of South, in southern Sudan, resulting in the deaths of 18 people.
Witnesses report that the plane belongs to South West Aviation and collided with a bush while attempting to land. According to the aviation service, there were citizens of Southern Sudan and foreigners on board, however, it has not yet been clarified how many foreign citizens were there.
Rescue services arrived at the crash site and began search operations to find survivors and provide assistance to those in distress. The cause of the aviation disaster remains unknown, and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
"This is a terrible tragedy for all of us. We express our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased. Our main task right now is to provide all necessary assistance and support to those who suffered as a result of this disaster," said a representative of the Ministry of Aviation.
The World Organization has already expressed condolences to the relatives of the victims and confirmed readiness to assist local authorities in investigating this incident.
